What people ask us
Which photo should I send?
A PORTRAIT: the head and shoulders fill the frame, facing the camera, at eye level, with light on the face. This matters more than anything else — a full-body photo gives an unusable result, because the face is only a few pixels wide. One face in the frame, no sunglasses, no cap: what cannot be seen cannot be sculpted.
Does it really look like the person?
The volume of the face, the haircut and the set of the head, yes. It is not a cast, it is a sculpture. You see the result in 3D before paying — if it does not convince you, you do not order.
How long does it take?
The bust appears on screen in about a minute. Then 7 to 31 hours of printing depending on size, hand finishing, then the post. We quote 5 to 14 working days.
What is it made of?
PLA, a rigid material made from corn starch. Sanded, primed and varnished by hand. Stands up, dusts off, and does not yellow on the inside.
What happens to my photo?
It builds your bust, and nothing else. With no order, it is erased after 30 days. You can ask for immediate erasure at any time. Details on the “Your photos and your data” page.
